Fixing a Fulltone Ultimate Octave using our pedal mounting strips

This is a Fulltone Ultimate Octave pedal, as used by Joe Satriani, Brett Garsed and others. This one is secondhand but in good condition.

These are the tools needed, plus a pack of pedal mounting strips.

There are 4 mounting screwholes underneath the pedal - this pedal came with 3 pan head and one round head (probably a replacement).

Open the pack and cut four lengths off one of the strips. Each is 7 holes long. Make each cut so as to preserve as much metal as possible aoround the end holes:-

Optional: snip 2 corners off one end of each length, to create a bevelled effect on the visible ends:-

Enlarge the hole one hole away from the square ends, to accommodate the Fulltone screws. these were drilled - exercise extreme care when drilling:-

Screw the four lengths to the pedal base - angling at 45 degrees will give the most rigid fit when screwed down, but you can also fix at 90 degrees:-

Lastly, screw the pedal assembly down to the pedalboard surface using four of the supplied screws. Here is the secured pedal - it is very rigid:-
