Mark Williamson's Boards

Mk 4 Pedalboard

I have enclosed some pictures of my Bass Pedalboard's latest incarnation. The main differences again are colour (after living with the silver, I have decided that my preference is the all black) and the addition of extra pedals. Why the modifications? Simply, it's because I joined a gigging band and I needed to change things around to accommodate certain sounds needed for the songs. To save money, I have taken the Delay pedal off the Mark II Guitar pedalboard, and the Boost pedal is from the now defunct all black Mark I pedalboard. I am planning to purchase another Behringer delay though ('cos they're great for the money), so that I can have 2 separate and complete boards for Guitar and Bass.

Mk 3 Pedalboard
Hi Johnny. Here are the pics of my new Bass Pedalboard. This time though, I thought I'd send you the pictures as I made it, from beginning to end, well the important bits anyway. They may be of interest. I'm using the case from Pedalboard Mk II as they are interchangeable and saves money, which is always good!! I will be looking to get a new case going forward, maybe something a bit more roadworthy. The board is designed in such a way that it can be expanded on. I'm considering a delay pedal at the moment to be placed on the tier that hides the power leads - watch this space so to speak. I may be back to you for right angle Neutrik leads, I'll see how the funds are going!!

1. Measuring the blank for the new board which will go in the existing frame.

2. Placement of  a new box built to hold DC leads.
3. Laying out the pedals and checking connections. 4. A second new box to protect the large multi-effects pedal.
5. Second box has hinged lid to allow changes to knob settings. 6 Second box with enclosing multi-fx pedal.
7. Fitting the pedals and protective box. 8. Finished pedalboard with DC leads box top centre and
power supply top right.
9. Finished board from right. 10. Finished board from left.
11. Finished board from back. Note all visible pedals are painted black.

Mk 2 Pedalboard

Mark: Hi Johnny, as promised here are some photos of my upgraded pedalboard. Main differences are:-
I'm still using your patch cables and power unit, which are great. Thanks again for the cables etc, I'll still be coming back for more as and when..

Mk 1 Pedalboard

Mark has a cool looking all-black board - very compact too! He also has some Behringer pedals - several Behringer pedals are extremely good value and quality. Check out their user ratings over at Harmony Central. Also two firsts for the Shredfreak user gallery:- an onboard clock and a customer serial number!
Mark: The pedals are at 2 levels, I used some metal extensions on the bottom of them. I also have a clock on top of your power supply to add some of my personality to it.On the board are 4 Behringer pedals, which for the money are great. I have their Overdrive, Distortion, Chorus and Delay on there. I also have a Boss EQ and A/B selector. Also on there is a Electro Harmonix Linear power Boost for that extra kick on solos. Either side is a Wah and Volume Pedal and i use a Planet Waves cable from the guitar. All pedals are in my trademark Black colour. Also shown is a separate footswitch for my Amp. All my pedals are powered by your Power Supply, and I use your right angled jacks off a daisy chain. Also I use your patch cables of various lengths. And your patch leads fit on very neatly. I'm very impressed with all the gear you've supplied me, as I have been working to a budget to get my board together and your stuff hasn't let me down. If I ever get a more solid pedalboard, I'll be back for the pedal fixings you supply. I have a budget board which is too thin alas!
